The new Master Plan is guided by SCU's strategic vision embracing the new entities operating from the campus and building consensus about future development plans. The planning focuses on the adaptation use of existing assets while considering the SCU teaching model and flexible working arrangements.
The precinct will deliver state-of-the-art facilities for contemporary learning, a world-class research laboratory, and vibrant public spaces that promote inclusivity and community well-being, including the culturally significant Bundjalung Place.
Adaption and refurbishment of existing infrastructure is fundamental to the SCU vision , with over 30,000sqm of floor space to be repurposed. This focus on adaption will become a case study for sustainable development and community revitalisation in regional Australia and beyond.
